There are no cracks or chips but as it is handmade and not machine produced, it does not have a uniformly smooth surface. It does have some crazing (please see photos). The artist's name is on the bottom and reads, "Martha Van". I do not know the true age of this piece; but I do know that it is striking! Note: One plate/platter is being sold here. Tongs, lime and glasses are not included. Hand wash only.
